Oskar Schindler

To summarize, Schindler's List is a powerful film directed by Steven Spielberg that incorporates different techniques within the film to portray the importance of significant themes. This film was probably the most important film Spielberg has ever created, being a Jew himself, his only intentions were to show people how Jews were treated by Nazi during the time of the Holocaust and how one man changed that for some.

The first fan fiction of Schindler's List I have ever read is written by "Vivictory" titled "Nightmares" has a very interesting twist to the relationship between Amon and Helen. The theme that is focused in this piece is how toxic behavior can cause negative mental wellness. I must say the use of language features in this piece is incredible but sadly not for the right reasons. For those who have seen this film will know that the film has more to it then just a relationship between some high ranking Nazi and a poor Jew who is taken advantage of in every scene. Yes, Amon and Helen's relationship was significant throughout the film to show that even though Amon was a Nazi, he would always try and fight the fact that he was into Helen even though his heart knew he has never loved anyone like this before. Amon being Amon loving Helen was a threat to him so he didn't know how to love her so instead he did the exact opposite. I wonder if other Nazis ever felt sad or felt the need to help Jews like Helen...OH WAIT yes!!! Oskar Schindler did hence why he ran factories as a cover up to save as many Jews as he could. This is the main focus of this film, Schindler and His Jews. Not Amons toxic relationship with Helen.

Another Fan Fiction of Schindler's List is written by "Golden Panther" titled The Light of the World (The days you used to Live) This piece focuses on the them of Loss in Humanity. Again, if you have seen this film you would know exactly what this person his writing about... you would also know that the little girl in the Red coat literally symbolizes the whole Jew population in the film. Why? because the whole film is in black and white and she is the only character in the entire film to have color - not even the protagonist has color. Spielberg's finest technique in the film I must add. In the powerful scene where she is walking aimlessly in the town of chaos and destruction Schindler SEES her. A Nazi seeing a Jew as a person and not a target. A Nazi who finally realizes that this.is.wrong. This fan fiction poem is based on the girl in the red coat but if you read between the lines she represents the Jew population - the Jews who had nowhere to go. This poem shows the lives that were stripped away without reason. The innocent lives of people who did not deserve to die. Why did Hitler do this? but the real question is - Why did no one help?

The Fan Fiction of Schindler's List written by VonTeeseLady titled Meiner Macht (German Translation for "It is not in my power") focuses on the theme Horrors of War. Even though this piece is mainly about Amon, it shows how war can change a person no matter how kind or nice they were before. Obviously I wasn't born during the war times but honestly these days I feel like I'm fighting in a war of my own and no one can see it. The troubles and tribulations I've been through by myself has of course changed me in so many ways I can't imagine. The demons I've fought just to what? 'fit in?" Yeah. What a change for the right reasons right? I wasn't there during the Holocaust and neither were you. But can you imagine changing from someone so innocent to someone who randomly shoots Jews in a concentration camp off his balcony? neither. War. We live in it today, we are living in World War 3 without even knowing it.We are living in a dying world, and we are changing because of it. We just don't know that we are and even if we did know we were changing maybe we think we're changing for the best just like Amon.
